Located about 15 minutes from Ballarat, this award winning Restaurant is looking to hire a Senior Chef de Partie. You will have the opportunity to work with the freshest local produce whilst also using contemporary cooking techniques. This position will suit a Chef that has a strong technical style. As a team you will be leading from the front continually developing new culinary trends. Other key duties include: - Ensuring a consistency of quality
- Stock control and portion control
- Managing Demi, Commis chefs and kitchen hands
- Ensurie tasks are prioritised according to urgency
- En sure evolving quality and supply standards are communicated to your staff and suppliers
- Foster a creative working environment
It is highly advantageous if you have worked within a fine dining environment previously, it would be ideal if you have worked within a Hatted environment. To be shortlisted for this role you will: - Have completed an on the job apprenticeship
- Have experience in stock ordering and supplier liaison
- Have previously managed kitchen staff
- Enjoy developing new ideas
- Have a strong working history
